Heart disease is the leading cause of death in both women and men.
All four counties served by the Texoma Health Foundation (THF) carry heart disease rates significantly higher than their respective state and national rates. This is a serious statistic for our communities.
THF’s Heart Disease Project provides screenings and community education to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and the importance of prevention and early detection. THF wants to significantly increase awareness of heart disease and improve our local statistics.
