Who We Are
Patrick Flynn moved to Sherman in 2004 as the CEO of Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. He grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in pharmacy and a master’s degree in clinical pharmacy. He then received a master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
He began his professional career as a pharmacist with the VA, then as an assistant administrator with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital. He moved to Fayetteville, Ark., where he became the CEO of Washington Regional Medical Center. After 15 years with that hospital, he moved to Fort Worth to head All Saints Medical Center Hospital before coming to Sherman.
He and his wife, Kathy, have two sons. Kevin is an engineer in Tulsa, and Bryan is a geophysicist with an oil and gas company in Houston. Both Pat and Kathy are active in their church and the Sherman community.
Pat was the former president of the Arkansas Hospital Association and has served on the boards of Carter Blood Care, United Way of Tarrant County, Grayson County United Way, Livengood Foundation, the Sherman Chamber of Commerce and Goodwill Industries. He currently serves on the board of the WNJ Health Foundation and the Greater Texoma Health Clinic.
Pat’s interests are sports, fishing, reading, hiking and travel. Since retiring, he has visited many national parks and countries outside the US.
